Midland, Texas - We're now getting an inside look at what happened the day a soldier tried to take explosives through airport security at Midland International Airport. Shortly after the incident at Midland International on December 31, 2011, we put in a request under the Freedom of Information Act for the airport footage the day Staff Sergeant Trey Scott Atwater attempted to take 5 pounds of C4 explosives through security.
Police are looking for the thief after he made off with the expensive timepiece and a bracelet at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport after the unfortunate owner inadvertently left the items behind in an airport security tray. GULFPORT, Mississippi -- Texas fugitive Steven Ray Milam, also known as the "Handsome Guy Bandit," was turned over to federal authorities on Thursday, after making an appearance here in U.S. District Court. Milam, 44, of Tyler, Texas, was charged on 11 counts of federal bank robbery and was the denied bail by a federal judge. Each bank robbery charge carries a penalty of up to 25 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
On January 5th a new Dallas Police Department policy was put into place where they no longer respond to retailer’s calls for shoplifting under $50. There are some exceptions, however. If the thief has an existing warrant out for their arrest, they will respond, but only act on the outstand warrant. If the retailer wants to trespass the thief from their property, the police will respond, but will only issue a trespass notice.
